Connie Gault's first novel Euphoria has been shortlisted for the Commonwealth Writers Prize.

The Commonwealth Prize celebrates the best fiction in each region of the Commonwealth and propels authors into the literary spotlight. "The books that win often have strong insight, spirit and voice." Winners will be announced on April 12th.

Euphoria was published by Coteau Books in September 2009.

Sherman Alexie and his book WAR DANCES was named a 2010 finalist for the PEN Faulkner Award For Fiction. The winner will be announced on March 23rd.  The award is North America's largest peer-juried prize for fiction.

War Dances was published by Grove Press in October 2009.

Sorrel King won The First Book Award from Books For A Better Life for JOSIE'S STORY: A Mother's Inspiring Crusade to Make Medical Care Safe.  And earlier this year Sorrel was named one of 50 influential women changing the world by Woman's Day magazine.

Josie's Story was published by Atlantic Monthly Press in the fall of 2009.
